We are happy to announce the next Los Angeles Girl Geek Dinner on Thursday, February 19th, 2015 at KPCC in Pasadena!
The topic of this Girl Geek Dinner is “The Politics of Big Data.” There will be a panel discussion featuring:
- Jan Perry, General Manager, Economic and Workforce Development Department for the City of Los Angeles
- Ed Honowitz, an educational policy advisor to Senator Carol Liu’s office and an expert on Big Data
- Alex Schaffert of KPCC, who recently launched a new KPCC and National Public Radio initiative on Big Data
- Robin Alberts-Marigza of Nation Builder, which makes use of Big Data for political election campaigns.
The discussion will be moderated by Christine Lu, co-founder of a new venture that involves cross-border China investments.
