Girl Geek Dinner #2 at KPCC: Women in Technology and Media

LA’s 2nd Girl Geek Dinner will be in Pasadena later this month!

Join Southern California public radio station KPCC and women in technology on Thursday September 26th for food, drinks and some good old-fashioned nerdy conversation with a panel of prominent women in technology and media!

Moderator: Angie Chang, Director of Growth at Hackbright Academy and founder of the Girl Geek Dinners’ Bay Area chapter

The panel discussion will focus on the impact of technology on media and career, leadership, and the current state of girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Drawing on their work and personal experiences, the panelists will explore questions of what is currently being done to promote girls and women in STEM careers and leadership positions, how the media has portrayed girls and women, and what the future looks like.
